A propos du stage
You will work for a bilingual newspaper published in London, UK. We currently have a print run of 10.000 copies/month, as well as online reach in more than 5 countries. Our mission is to produce high quality content about Brazil in a global perspective. All our content is distributed in two languages (Portuguese/English).
We are a high-tech, young and dynamic organisation and are always on the look-out for exceptional talent.
In a collaborative environment, the intern would have space for fully develop his/her abilities. We would expect pro-activity and accurate journalistic writing skills, in one or two languages that we work in (Portuguese and English).
The intern will work alongside our editor-in-Chief and a team of 35 journalists that produce content to our media (in UK and Brazil).
We will provide training in our work methodology of collaborative work as well as basic software skills necessary to the job. The hours are flexible, and the team is friendly!
Daily work would evolve producing short written content for the website and printed edition, publication of content in the website (word-press platform) and coverage of events in the city, not only related to Brazilian culture and society but also about London lifestyle and cultural scene.
Duration: 3 to 6 months
20 hours/day
We offer several press passes for cultural events, so the student can find it easier to make the most of their time in London and feel integrated into the city's culture and lifestyle, as well as to Brazilian community in London.
Competences, Skills And Experience Requirements
Intermediate English is desired. Hight level in writing and speaking Portuguese is obligatory.
Good Microsoft word user and basic skills in word-press platform. Photography skills are desired. Editing experience in final-cut or audio/video edition would be a plus, but not a necessary skill.
