We are looking for a creative and resourceful intern to join us in the role of Fabric Design assistant.
THE JOB
We exhibit on Première Vision, Paris twice per year. We develop multiple collections of embroidery and lace fabrics for this exhibition.
You will be assisting in the collection creation and reporting directly to our fabric designer.
• FABRIC DESIGN: graphic design of lace, all-over embroidery, and print patterns (illustrator).
•MATERIALS: evaluate materials to use per design.
•DEVELOPMENT: evaluate prototypes of designs and communicate with supplier.
•TREND BOOKS: assist the designer in the creation of seasonal trend books.
•DIGITAL FABRIC LIBRARY: creating visual-and text content per realized design for our website.
•SOCIAL MEDIA: creating visuals for online communications.
•GARMENT DESIGN: assist in garment design and tech file making for our in-house menswear label.
•GARMENT SEWING: assist in sewing mock-ups, garment samples, and placement embroideries.
REQUIREMENTS
•EXPERIENCE: fabric design
•CURRENTLY: enrolled in/recently graduated at uni (of applied sciences)
•COURSE BACKGROUND: graphic design / textiledesign / fashion design/ confection
•PERSONALITY: creative, resourceful, organized
•FLUENCY: english
•COMPUTER SKILLS: illustrator, basic: OS-and MS-programs, excel
•ADVANTAGE: understanding of measurement-making, patterns, sewing, and different materials
TO NOTE
•DURATION: minimum of 5 months
•FULL-TIME
•LOCATION: Amsterdam
•COMPENSATION: EUR 300/month
