MEDIA CENTRE INTERNSHIP | STAGE SYDNEY | REF AU15

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our small and dynamic media centre team as intern or volunteer during 3 to 6 months.

You will work for an independent, not-for-profit language and cultural organisation and as such offers a large variety of French classes since 1895. We have a network with 1040 centres in 136 countries around the world.

Duration: From January 6th 2020 (3 months up to 6 months)

Essential criteria:

Welcome customers and students
Search standard reference materials, including online sources
Develop and maintain collections management policies and procedures
Maintain the organisation of library materials
Provide a library loan service for both book and audiovisual materials

About the ideal candidate:

Good level in English
Good general computing knowledge
Desire to learn a range of tasks and activities
Good organisational skills with an attention to detail

The internship/ volunteering is not paid. Transport in Sydney and lunch expenses for the total duration and days of work of the internship are covered by us.

Visa requirements:

· You should be aware that you need a visa to be a intern/ volunteer in Australia

Please note: We cover the first 3 nights of accommodation in a backpacker hotel in Sydney. This internship is unpaid however there is reimbursement for lunch and transport in Sydney. No other participation is offered regarding travel expenses France-Australia or accommodation in Sydney for the length of the internship
